427 Design Control Systems and the New Product Development Process


Effective new product development and compliance to ISO 9000 Design Control requirements need not be in conflict. Using the requirements of the ISO Standard as a guide, students will explore efficient methods for satisfying both the need for rapid product development and the need for regulatory compliance. Topics covered include: product definition, project management, design verification / validation, failure analysis techniques, and design transfer. This course is designed to give both Engineering and Quality professionals the tools required to meet the challenges of new product introduction.
